In the first game of the season, the 1937 basketball team trounced the B.U. Freshmen 35 to 24 in the Indoor Athletic Building last night. The first year five looked like an experienced aggregation.
In spite of the fact that the team suffered from the loss of Henry M. Adlis who was counted on to strengthen the guard posts, his shoes were capably filled by Henry C. Munroe and Charles C. Gilbson. High-scorer for the home five was Leavitt S. White.
The summary: Score--Harvard Freshmen '35, B. U. Freshmen, 24. Goals--White 8, Moser 3, Sneddon 3, Mason 2, Maddocks 2, Sullivan 2, Field 1, Gray 1, Stophenson 1, Witherspoon 1, Luiz 1, Murphy 1, Nathan 1. Free throws--Skeler 1, Sneddon 1, Rabinowitz 1, Maddocks 1, Munroe 1.
