FOOTBALL TEAM TO HAVE VICTORY CELEBRATION

A movement to fete Captain John Dean '34, and Head Coach Edward L. Casey '19, in the first victory banquet since 1930, the year that former coach Arnold Horween '21 won the third consecutive victory over Yale, was set on foot immediately after the defeat of Yale, which brought to a close the 1933 Crimson football season. It is expected that final plans will be announced this noon when the entertainment committee meets at the Harvard Club of Boston.

The affair will be staged within the next two weeks and will probably be in the form of a private dinner, followed by a smoker, rather than a luxurious banquet as was the case in 1929. It is supposed that only the members of the Varsity football team, the coaches, and members of the committee will be present at the dinner, but all members of the Harvard Club will be welcomed at the smoker following. The Junior Varsity and Freshman teams may also be allowed to participate at the dinner. The chairman of the committee is Henderson Inches '08. Inches and his associates, who started the movement for a celebration, will probably make known the full details this week, including the name of the guest of the evening.

Harvard alumni had dreams of staging a magnificent affair in 1931, but pre-game calculations were upset, as the Crimson went down to a 3 to 0 defeat. The 1932 season also afforded the alumni little chance to celebrate.
