EXHIBITION BOUTS AT END GIVE HARVARD TWO VICTORIES

Scoring a total of five points out of a possible seven, the Varsity boxing team defeated a strong Springfield squad last night in the Indoor Athletic Building.

Culminating the evening were four exhibition bouts, two of which resulted in knockouts against Springfield.

There were four knockouts in the bouts proper--three against Springfield and one against Harvard. Bradford Simmons '34, P. A. Hines '34, and Captain William Cooper '33 were the three who won their contests for Harvard by knockouts. Captain Cannell, of Springfield, scored a technical knockout over Abraham Cone '34.

Following these team bouts there were four exhibition contests. A. B. Sullivan '34 knocked out Young of the visitors; and K. L. Simonian '33 knocked out Henke of Springfield.

The summary:

125-pound class--M. A. Lamb '34 defeated Ober (S) by decision.

135-pound class--E. M. Wadsworth '33 fought to a draw with Tise (S).

145-pound class--Abraham Cone '34 lost to Cannell (S) by technical knockout.

155-pound class--P. A. Hines '34 knocked out John Dox (S).

165-pound class--W. G. Cooper '33 knocked out Pendelbury (S).

175-pound class--Richard Lawrence '34 fought to a draw with Lugenbehl (S).

Unlimited--Bradford Simmons '34 knocked out Mayer (S).

Exhibition bouts, summary:

145-pound class--Peter Wards '36 fought Brown (S). no decision.

145-pound class--A. B. Sullivan '34 knocked out Young (S).

175-pound class--W. A. Smith '36 fought Palmetier (S), no decision.

175-pound class--K. L. Simonian '33 knocked out Henke (S).
