"It would be impossible for us to change Zoology 3 to the second-half year in 1933-34," said II. W. Rand, associate professor of Zoology yesterday, when informed of a petition which is being circulated in favor of such a change. The basis for the complaint in that Zoology 1 and Zoology 3, which are both pre-medical courses, come in the same half year.
Rand pointed out that it this course were changed, it would upset the department's carefully planned system of courses. "If we change Zoology 3, we would have to give Zoology 4 in the first half year, and then move up Zoology 5 to the second half. The ideal course, to my mind, is Zoology 1 and Botany 1 the first year, and Zoology 3 and 4 the next year."
