MAY SERVE BEER IN HOUSES IF LICENSE BOARD PERMITS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Possibilities that beer may be served in the House Dining Halls were considerably strengthened last night with the information that at a meeting of the House Masters yesterday plans were considered for the sale of beer in the Houses to those over 21 years. of age.

Several restrictions stand in the way of authorized sale, however, which may hinder the issuing of licenses to the Dining Halls. It is understood that University authorities have applied to the city licensing commission for a permit to sell the beverage, but that to date they have been unable to receive one, because of legal difficulties. City law allows only one license to a single organization.
