A 17-game Varsity basketball schedule for next year has been approved by the Committee on the Regulation of Sports, it was learned yesterday.

Wesley Fesler, former Ohio State University all-around athlete, assuming his new duties next fall as assistant football coach, will direct the basketball team next winter, succeeding Ed Wachter.

Fesler in coming to Harvard plans to introduce a new regime and to mold the team according to the form used extensively in the Mid-West. Emphasis is laid much more strongly on basketball in Western Universities.

Two games will be played with Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Boston University. The first Yale game will be played in the Indoor Athletic Building on January 10, and the second will be played in New Haven on March 10. The season will open on December 13 against Boston University.
