ASSIGNMENT OF FRESHMEN TO HOUSES STARTS MONDAY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

First assignments of rooms in the Houses will be made at the beginning of next week. University officials said yesterday. The administrative work entailed in the allocations is somewhat greater this year because of the provision that all applications must go through the new central committee.

This year 774 applications for the Houses were received. There are at present 816 Freshmen living in the Yard or in Apley, Dudley, and Little Halls. The number of rooms available to incoming Freshmen is 739. No provision has yet been made by University authorities for those who fall of assignment in the first announcements.
