SAMBORSKI '25 APPOINTED AS COACH OF FRESHMAN QUINTET

Other Changes in Coaching Personnel Include Rise of Chauncey

Adolph Samborski '25 has been appointed Freshman basketball coach to succeed Rufus Bond, who has retired; and Henry Javrin, former Second Varsity baseball coach, will be Freshman baseball coach. Henry Chauncey '28, this year's Second Freshman baseball coach, will take Javrin's place as Junior Varsity coach, and will also act as coach of the recently established Second Freshman baseball team.

Hal Javrin, who has been coaching the Second Varsity baseball team for over two years, is a former major league player and a member of the Boston Red Sox team. Assistant Dean Chauncey was appointed dormitory coach for both Freshman football and baseball in 1928.

These announcements were confirmed yesterday following the announcement of the appointment of C. J. Gallagher as Freshman football coach. Contrary to many rumors the coaching personnel has undergone a slight shifting rather than a radical changing.
