General Wood was graduated from the Harvard Medical School in 1884 and was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws in 1899.

The unveiling ceremony will be held at noon on Monday, October 9, the date of General Wood's birth. The Right Reverend William Lawrence '71 will officiate.
