After more than 35 years of existence, the Modern Language Conference, now under the leadership of Edward C. Peple 4G, is planning a series of at least six more meetings this year.
This group of 60 graduate students and members of the faculty is especially intended for people interested in the modern languages.
It has already listened this year to Charles Cestre, exchange professor from the University of Paris; John L. Lowes '05, Francis Lee Higginson Professor of English Literature; Theodore Spencer, instructor in English; and Willard L. Sperry, Plummer Professor of Christian Morals and Professor of Homiletics.
The meetings planned this year will bring the total number since its beginning up to almost 500.
