Robert S. Hillyer, '17, associate professor of English, spoke before an informal gathering in the Adams House Common Room last night. Centering his talk about his philosophy, Professor Hillyer read a number of his own poems, including several selections from his "Collected Works" published in 1933.
December Entertainment
First event on the Adams House entertainment program for December will be a concert given by the Pierian Sodality on Monday evening, December 9.
Under the direction of Malcolm H. Holmes '24, the orchestra will play two short pieces by Ravel. Included on the program will be a group or solos by William W. Austin '39, fifteen year old pianist. Austin will play several compositions of his own.
Second event will be the annual Christmas Dinner held on the evening of Monday, December 16. A play, written by members of the House, will be presented, and several of the "Gold coasters" will supplement this production with short comedy skits.
