WORK-RELIEF BILL

Washington, March 25--A determined band of Silverites and Liberals tonight served notice that they would make every effort tomorrow to defeat a House rule which would send the $4,880,000,000 work-relief bill back to conference for elimination of amendments objectionable to President Roosevelt.

The steering committee of the silver bloc invited all Democrats to meet two hours before the House convenes tomorrow in an attempt to present a united front against the rule.
