The best good are often wrapped in small packages," was the theme of Charlie Whiteside's talk to Freshman cox candidates in the Union last evening. The crew coach finished his discourse by introducing Samuel S. Drury. Jr., '35, captain of the eight, in the following manner:

"You had better talk to them, now, Sam, while you still have the opportunity. They'll be yelling at you in a couple of weeks."

Thomas R. Bunter '35, last year's cox, encouraged his would-be successors by saying that for the past two years. at least one previously inexperienced candidate had been taken down to Red Top. A Freshman crew will also be taken either to Annapolis for the Penn and Navy race or to New York for a sprint against Columbia and M.I.T. on the Harlem.

Hunter and Edward H. Bennett, Jr. '37 will conduct two sessions of instruction for the candidates. The first one will be held this Thursday in the Union.
