In spite of a second-half rally in which they managed to hold their opponents scoreless, the Crimson fifteen went down to a 10-6 defeat at the hands of the New York Rugby Club Saturday on Soldiers Field.

The New Yorkers jumped to an early offensive, and the combination of heavier forwards and hard-running backs gave James the Chan e to score. Holton made the kick good, giving New York a 5-0 lead. It was not until Duffus had scored after a sideline run and Holton had again added the points that Harvard retaliated with a score by Babbitt. The second half saw Harvard putting on the pressure to stop the invaders, while Meiklejohn added three points to the Crimson score by making good a penalty kick.
