HANOVER SOCCER TEAM CONQUERS VARSITY, 3-1

Green Offense Outpaces Home Team in Games Here Yesterday; Burbank, Scott, Wood Excel for Crimson

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Getting out of hand in the second period when tow goals were scored, the Dartmouth soccer team went on to beat the varsity 3-1 here yesterday.

Ace Bailey, bespectacled center forward, made all the points for the visitors.

Though Jim Wood's men suffered by the inability of fullback Ted Robie to play. Joe Bradley, Dick Powell, and Bobwhite held up that branch of the defense capably, and halfbacks Bob Scott and Dan Burbank turned in their best performances to date.

The Green was too good as a team, while only Captain Wood could match them individually on the attack.

The Harvard lineup: g., Williams; r.f., Bradley; l.f., Powell, White; r.h., Burbank; c.h., Scott, Richard; l.h., Philip; r.o., White, Hastings, sleeper; r.i., Lewis, c., Harden, White; l.i., Johanson, Jacobson; l.o., Wood (Capt.).

Harvard goal: Wood.
