The additional Freshmen were named to the Union Committee last night by Kendrick N. Marshall '21, secretary of the Union, and Francis Keppel '38, Student Council member in charge of Freshman affairs.
The two new members were Thomas V. Healey '40, of Worcester, and Arthur Cantor '40, of Mattapan. Healey, who was recently elected captain of the football team prepared at Worcester Academy and was automatically on the Union Committee after his election as captain of the Yardling eleven. Cantor prepared at Boston Latin School, and was named as a representative of the Commuters. The election of the two men brings the total membership to 12, ten Freshmen having been appointed on October 21.
A chairman of the Committee will be chosen at their next meeting and the first dance of the Class will be planned at that time. The decision to have a chairman of the Committee is an innovation suggested in the report of last year's Committee.
