Princeton Booters Conquer Varsity by 2-1, in Overtime

Lewis Scores for Crimson as Elevens Stage Annual Clash

Scoring in the final minutes of the second overtime, period, the Princeton Varsity soccer team nosed out Harvard here 2-1 Saturday in a game marked by hard play by both teams and a clear superiority by neither.

The Crimson has come behind of tie the score on Dick Lewis' third period gole. Improved all round play, and especially by the inside forwards, was giving the home team a slight advantage coming down the stretch until Bud Morgan's winning Tiger tally came on a shot that bounded off the cross bar into the cage.

For the home team, trying to make it two in a row over the New Jersey eleven, no individual star could be selected. Captain Wood turned in his usual fine performance at left outside while Joe Bradley handled capably the fullback berth handed over to him after Dick Powell's severe Knee injury suffered in a scrimmage last week.
