Granting that progame predictions aren't worth much more than the paper they're written on, and then only if the paper isn't of especially high grade, we hereby go out on the limb and predict a Harvard victory in the Quadrangular Meet in the Garden tonight. Cornell, Dartmouth and Yale should finish in that order after the crimson runners if nothing comes along to upset our calculations.

Certain it is that the Crimson will reap enough points to give the generally favored Cornell team a terrific run for their money. Cornell's stock, which was soaring in the middle of the week, received a decided setback when it was learned that Charles Scott, a jumper favored to win, was forced to withdraw because of a sprained ankie.

This leaves Cornell with almost a sure win in the mile, and a win in the dash. Unless they break through in the mile, relay over the strong Dartmouth team, they will have to rely on second, third, and fourth places for the rest of their points.

Yale's sole chance for a first place will come in the two-mile run, where Woodland is a strong contender. The runners from the snowy hills of Hanover should get a first spot in the mile relay while Geniawicz is almost a sure shot in the shotput. This aren't in the entally, is one of the two where Harvard stands a good chance of being shut out; the other being the two-mile.

In every other event the Harvard runners should smass a goodly supply of points. In the dash Green should cop at least a third. In the hurdles the same runner should collect five points, while Schmidt may break through here for third or a fourth.

Schmidt was covering the six second hurdles distance in nearly six seconds earlier this winter outdoors with his sweat clothes on. In the favorable indoor clime of the Garden he may surprise.

Other events of the evening besides those which count for the title are the Freshman relay race, the Freshman dash, and the Exeter-Andover relay.

The shotput and the weight throwing events will be held in the afternoon in Brigge Cage.

An optimistic forecast of how they may finish:

Dash-first, Linden (C); second, Burlingame (Y); third, Green (H); fourth, Donovan (D).

Hurdles-first, Green (H); second, Donovan (D); third, Godley (C); fourth, Schmidt (H).
