After receiving a sound drubbing last week from Leverett House, the Adams tennis team made an about face yesterday and downed Brooks House, 6 to 1. The Brooks racquetmen were completely outplayed with the exception of Stan Purcell, who came through in fine shape to defeat Edwin Brainard, 6-2, 6-3. After losing the first game, Bob Hutchinson and Jose Gonzales put on a fine finish to win the doubles in one of the most exciting matches of the day.

Hutchinson and Gonzales (A) defeated Reynolds and Mazel (B) by 2-6, 6-1, 6-4; Porr (A) defeated Creelman (B)by 6-2, 6-8, 6-1; Purcell (B)defeated Brainard (A) by 6-2, 6-3; Timken (A) defeated Greenblatt (B) by 6-4, 6-8, 6-2; Anderson (A) won by default; North (A) defeated Winer (B)by 6-4, 6-4.
