Union Drive Reaches Maids; Preliminary Conclave Held
30 Biddies Sign Pledge Cards at Organization Meeting
Another step in the campaign to unionize 2700 University employees, was taken last night by Robert H. Everitt, district representative of the International Building Service Employees' Union at a preliminary organization meeting of maids at Brattle Hall.
Pledge cards were signed by thirty "biddies" attending. Earl Student, editor of the Union Labor News, and Herman Koster, president of the Cambridge Central Labor Union spoke.
