Kirkland Hosue's amazing domination of Houses Spring sports almost became complete yesterday afternoon as the Deacons led the field in the inter-Houses Track meet on the Stadium until the final event when Winthrop forged ahead to win by loss than two points.

The Puritans ended up with 47 1-2 points to Kirkland's 45 1-3 Downes' 102 foot heave in the discus gave the Winthrop team the final boost it needed. Eliot nosed out Leverett for third by 1 1-3 points with 29 1-3. Dunster brought up the year with 2 1-2 points, for Dudley failed to enter.

Winthrop scored in every event except the 880 and the pole vault, taking four first places. Leverett likewise missed only twice, and it was this all-round ability that enabled these two Houses to pile up a substantial lead over the others.
