Skiing Conditions Good

New England Trails Tantalize Enthusiasts With Seductive Charms

With New England ski conditions remaining the best in several years, ski enthusiasts are flocking to winter sports resorts, eager to get in their fill of the sport before the snow vanishes.

And from the looks of weather reports, they will be well satisfied this year. All signs seem to point to excellent skiing conditions throughout the month of February.

Even those Harvard skiiers who must study now can get in some good skiing in an afternoon by only driving forty-five miles to Brookline, New Hampshire. Those who can afford a week-end vacation can go to mountains father away, either by automobile or by train.

To accommodate those who will not be able to drive to their favorite skiing center, the Boston and Maine Railroad is running fifteen snow trains on Saturday and one on Sunday.

With skiing again coming to the front as one of the most popular of winter sports, skiing resorts and ski outfitters are making up for the disappointing season of last year. Every day more and more new enthusiastic disciples are won to the Norwegian sport.

It is a common sight around Harvard Square these days to see "indifferent" Harvard skiiers clad in the latest in skiing clothes packing equipment on automobiles and preparing to leave the cares of college studies for the white expanse of the New England mountains.

For those that plan to go by train, the following snow trains are listed for the week-end, as scheduled by the Boston and Maine aRilroad, 8:00 A.M.  Snowshoeing  Skiing  Temperature  Inches Snow Bartlett, N.
