PHILADELPHIAN ASKS SHOES FROM "PRES. JOHN HARVARD"

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Three hundred years too late, a letter addressed to "Pres. John Harvard" arrived at University Hall Monday. The sender, one George W. Roans of Philadelphia, requested the gift of a pair of shoes.

The plea for suitable winter footwear was shunted to Brooks House, where Raymond Dennett '36, 2G, graduate secretary, said yesterday, "We'll send him a pair of shoes as soon as we find out what size he wears."
