Robert "Pi" Truesdale '41 was not going to let Cornell romp off with the goal posts as well as the long end of a 20 to 0 football score.

The South goal posts went down swiftly before a concerted rush of enthusiastic Cornell supporters who were so intent on their purpose that they started their attack before the game ended.

It appeared that the North goal posts were to meet a similar fate, until hundreds of Crimson supporters, including Truesdale, thronged to the defense.

A daring little Cornell man actually climbed the goal posts. Truesdale scrambled up after him. In the thrilling acrobatic fight which ensued, Truesdale got his man. The North goal posts remained.
