With a late starting game, the Junior Varsity football team in inaugurating its season on Soldiers Field today when it encounters the Dartmouth jayvees at two o'clock.
After six weeks of practice, playing together as a team for three, the gray shirts have managed to develop an attack that may well prove formidable in this afternoon's game. Working hard under the tuition of Coaches Lamar and Hedblom, the team was putting on its finishing touches in yesterday afternoon's practice, going over a few details necessary for the meeting with Dartmouth.
In selecting the first lineup it has been hard to make choices between men in many positions, but the probable lineup consists of Devine and Keats at the ends, Wood and Armstrong at the tackles, Lacey and Soule at the guard positions, and Fuller at the pivot post. In the backfield, it is probable that Rowe will start at tail, Hurley at wing, Brown at bucking back, and Sargent at blocking.
But there are other men who are pressing these men for berths. For instance Gardiner stands a good chance at guard, Shallow at tackle and Haydock at end.
