John C. Yule, Kirkland House Janitor, last night routed two bandits who had broken into the room of Neil E. Rawlinson '27 3G and recovered approximately $300 worth of clothing and accessories, as the pair fied in an automobile.
Yule recounted how shortly after 8 o'clock he was "seeing that everything was all right," although off duty, and walked down South St., bordering on Kirkland House. As he turned the corner, a man jumped on the running board of the car and fled.
Apparently the burglars had just rifled the room and hadn't started to put the articles in their car. The recovered goods included six suits, two overcoats, 18 shirts, nine pairs of shoes and a radio.
