ELOCUTION CONTESTS TO BE HELD MARCH 30

All College Upperclassmen Are Eligible For Lee Wade and Boylston Prizes, Oldest in Country

March 30 is the day set for the Lee Wade and Boylston Prize Speaking contests, Robert S. Hillyer '17, Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory, announced yesterday.

For the 121st year, the Boylston Prizes, one of 50 dollars and two of 35 dollars each, will be awarded to winners of the annual competition, open to Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores of good standing.

The Lee Wade Prize of 50 dollars was given by Dr. Francis Henry Wade in memory of his son, Lee Wade, 2nd, Class of 1914.

Candidates for the prizes must register with Professor Hillyer in Warren House on or before Monday, February 28, when they will be given instructions on the preparation of a short memorized selection, chosen from any work of standard literature.
