ST. ANDREWS TRAMPLED BY RUGBY SQUAD, 31-0

The rugby team opened its 1938 season Saturday afternoon with a 31-0 victory over the St. Andrews Rugby Club of New Jersey. The Crimson team, revamped since the pre-season defeat at the hands of Cambridge, had the advantage throughout.

The team started slowly, but in the second half its superior speed, power and coordination between backs and forwards began to show itself. Good three-quarter movements and fine following of the ball by the forwards piled up the score.

Outstanding among the Harvard forwards was Austie Scott, the acting captain. He broke away several times to start passing rushes and scored one try himself.

Constable, in the backfield, was the high-scorer of the day, making one try and five conversions, a total of 13 points.
