FRESHMAN GODIVA CALLS FIRE FIGHTERS TO OPEN HIS DOOR

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Forty Quincy Street, the new Freshman dormitory, entered the news for the first time yesterday as tales of locked doors, fire alarms and a Yardling Lady Godiva ran rife.

Eye-witnesses in the new building, which is supervised by Vernon Struck, '38 last year's football star, declared that John White '42 left his room at midnight on Saturday, leaving his door ajar, and that the latter promptly blew shut, locking him out.

It further developed that White, who was only going to be gone for a short time, had not bothered to put on any clothes. Although stories varied, Jack Bovis '42 was credited with calling the Cambridge Fire Department, conveniently located around the corner. The local smoke-caters were said to have entered the third story window by means of an extension ladder.
