Paul A. Freund, Law '81, special assistant to the attorney-general, probably will join the Law School faculty in September, a close friend revealed today.
If Freund does join the faculty he will take over part of the former assignment of Justice Felix Frankfurter, who recently left the Law School to serve on the Supreme Court.
A native of St. Paul, Freund did graduate work under Professor Felix Frankfurter after getting his law degree in 1931. He has also worked as the law secretary of Justice Louis D. Brandeis, recently retired from the Supreme Court. Freund was graduated from Washington University, St. Louis, in 1928.
