HEIDEN, GARDELLA STILL RESTING

Brown Will Have Resourceful Grid Team For Stadium Game Saturday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard's usual custom has been to schedule a breather game the week before the Yale engagement, but this year the Harlowmen are almost sure to strike a Tartar in the well-drilled Brown Bears from Providence. Despite the banner showing of the Crimson eleven at Philadelphia, it will not be much better than an even money choice this Saturday.

Brown has a formidable defensive line and a resourceful set of backfield men. The Bruins started slowly this fall but have begun to pick up momentum in recent weeks. Holy Cross, Yale, and Army are the last three victims of Coach McLaughry's alert squad.

Gardelia and Helden

Harvard must have its running attack rolling on all fours to set the Bruins back on their heels, and there is still considerable doubt as to the physical status of two of the main cogs in that offense. Harvard medicos have not yet given Captain Joe Gardella an okay for the game, and they have declined to pass on George Heiden's condition until tomorrow. In the meantime, Loren MacKinney has been moved into the blocking job, and Bill Brown is holding forth at fullback.

Rain drove Harvard indoors yesterday afternoon, but Coach Harlow treated the team to a full workout in Briggs Cage. Brown plays came in for a lot of attention because Coach McLaughry has given his team an attack which is veiled in deception. Perfect execution of two or three plays a game has been enough for victory.
