TORCH LIGHT PARADE LEADS TO FINAL REPUBLICAN RALLY

More than 500 local Republicans marched in torch-light parades to the Rindge Technical High School auditorium last night to hear Senator Warren R. Austin of Vermont, Governor Leverett Saltonstall '14, and Senatorial candidate Henry Parkman, Jr. '15 fire their last shots in the campaign.

Charging that the New Deal party "by insidious degrees, surreptitiously legislates toward the objective of autocracy," Senator Austin told his G.O.P. audience to vote for Wendell L. Willkie "in the cause of saving the American way of life."
