$19,000 SUBSCRIBED IN COMMUNITY FUND DRIVE

Three Days Left in Campaign, With Less Than 1/2 of Last Year's Total Turned in to College Headquarters

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With only three days remaining in its campaign, the community Fund headquarters at Harvard last night announced that a total of $19,179.00 had been collected from Faculty, students and employees of the University.

A year ago, Harvard contributed over $53,000 from all sources, so yesterday's figure is less than one-half of the minimum goal for this year. Solicitors have been appointed for all Houses, the Freshman halls, and the clubs.

Learned in Charge

Edmund P. Learned, associate professor at the Business School, is in charge of the campaign at Harvard, with headquarters in Wadsworth House. While expressing gratification at student response, Learned asked that undergraduates desirious of contributing turn in their subscription at Wadsworth House or to student solicitors.

Approximately $15,000 has been received from the Faculty-student division, while nearly 1,300 employees have subscribed for the rest of the total to date.
