Browder Loses Election

NEW YORK--Earl Browder, Communist leader convicted of passport fraud, ran a poor third in a by-election for representative of the 14th Congressional District, returns showed tonight.

With all returns in from the 61 districts, Michael Edelstein, Democrat, was elected to replace the late Rep. William I. Sirovich.
