Tired Track Squad Finishes Indoor Season at IC4A Meet

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A tired Crimson sextet finished off the indoor track season with a game but ineffectual performance at the IC4A games in the Squadron A Armory and the Madison Square Garden in New York Saturday.

Don Donahue, after hopping the hedges for a smooth 7.5 in the 60 yard hurdles had only a sixth place for consolation in the finals. Scorning a knee that swelled after hiting a hurdle in the semifinals, the fighting timber-topper led the field up to the first obstacle in the final, but lost his balance and his lead when he clipped the board.

Steve Madey came through with a good 13.3 in the polo vault but weightmen George Downing, Howard Mendel, and Bill Shallow fell off five and six feet from their expected and usual performance. Charlie Smith, showed up well in the 60 yard dash heat, but was crowded out of the money in the semis.
