DAUGHADAY WINS WAY INTO EASTERN FINALS

SYRACUSE, N. Y. March 8-Captain bill Daughaday led the Crimson wrestlers into the final day of competition is the Eastern intercollegiate wrestling tournament by winning his way into the 165-pound finals as all of his mates fell by the wayside in earlier matches.

Daughaday decision Stephenson of Penn and Rohrer of Penn State, storming his way into the final round. Other Crimson entrants did not fare so well, however, as highly rated Ted Schoenberg dropped an overtime decision to Princeton's Captain Harding in the 121 pound class and 135 pounder Bruce Richardson dropped a verdict to Hick of Syracuse in the overtime period.

Schoenberg scored a point for the Crimson cause by pinning Swift of Syracuse in the first round and 145 man Dick Thomas added another by flattening Captain Bond of Penn, also in a first rounder. But Thomas was knocked out of championship consideration in the second round, being pinned by Yale's Captain Dave Gerber.

Jim Redmon at 128, Bill Tyng at 155 and Aldrich at 175 were all beaten in the first round matches, Aldrich going by the fall route. Tudor Gardiner beat Dick Bokum of Princeton in his first encounter but fell before Larry Pickett of the Elis in the next bout.

Harvard is lodged in a third place tie in the points at present (computed by pins only) with two, and will probably finish third or fourth.
