Hungarian Composer to Appear at Paine Hall Debut in May

Bela Bartok, noted Hungarian pianist and composer, will give a lecture-recital in Paine Hall at 8:30 o'clock Monday evening, April 22, to which the public will be admitted without charge. He is one of the most distinguished of the modern composers.

Bartok is well-known for his researches, over many years, of the folk-music of his native Hungary, and also of Arabia. As a performing artist, he is noted for his interpretations of his own works and those of Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, and Kodaly.
