Having completed a relatively unsuccessful five-game schedule in the South, the Yardling baseball team has returned to Cambridge after the vacation. With a record of two wins and three losses, the Freshmen will face 15 more opponents before the end of the year.

In its first game, the team was beaten by the Navy plebes by a score of 2 to 1, although it was just an informal, five-inning tilt. Augusta, Military Academy fell before the vengeance of the Freshmen, 11 to 4, but Staunton was able to eke out a 3 to 2 win in 11 innings. The Yardlings overpowered Massanutten Military Academy, 25 to 8, but were even more badly beaten themselves on Saturday by Mercersburg, 24 to 3.

Justin Haley, Joe Phelan, and Bill Barnes starred for the Crimson, headed by Coach Samborski.
