Continuing the Crimson's victorious ways over the Engineers, the Yardling 150 pound eight led the M.I.T. crew by three and a half lengths over the finish line yesterday afternoon.
A high cross wind was kicking up a mean chop in the basin as the two crews left the starting line, with Abbot's boat jumping into an early lead. Keeping well ahead of the Tech eight, the Crimson boat gradually widened the margin to a length and a half at the bridge.
The rough water over the last half-mile of the course kept both strokes down to a 30 and slowed the winning time to 7:30 with Tech trailing by fifteen seconds.
