YARDLING GRID PRACTICE TO BEGIN IMMEDIATELY

About 100 Yardling football hopefuls are expected to report to coach "Chief" Boston and his aides at Dillon Field House on registration day, where practice will begin as soon as the candidates have received their equipment.

Coach Boston opens his first year as Freshman coach. He was one of Harvard's foremost players in 1936, '37, and '38, starring as an excellent tackler and blocker, and also an outstanding wrestler, winning the Eastern Intercollegiate Heavyweight title. Since graduation he has coached the University School in Cleveland.

Assisting Boston as line coach is Joe Neo, who layed guard on the teams of 1935, '36, and '37. He comes to Harvard as Freshman line coach from the Wooster School in Danbury, Connecticut.

Freshman candidates are requested to come down to Dillon. Field House as early as possible to get their uniforms and equipment. The supply desk will be open all day, September 30, in order to give Yardlings who wish to avoid the rush a chance to be ready before practice actually starts.
