Ferry Urges Puritans To Contribute Blood

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Winthrop last night made the first move for national defense by any of the Houses when Housemaster Dr. Ronald M. Ferry, associate professor of Biochemistry, urged the Puritans to contribute blood for use by the armed forces at the Christmas Dinner.

Dr. Arlie V. Bock, Oliver Professor of Biochemistry, said that it might be arranged for the students to give their blood in some University building, and emphasized that the donor would feel no serious physiological effects.

The red corpuscles would be separated from the plasma, which would then be used for treatment in case of shock.
