"How strong Is Japan" will be the subject of a special discussion forum to be broadcast over the Crimson Network from Winthrop House Junior Common Room tonight from 9 until 10 o'clock. The forum itself, which will feature several leading authorities on the subject, is open to all.
The speakers will be William Henry Chamberlin, former Christian Science Monitor foreign correspondent and author of "Japan Over Asia"; Dr. Edwin O. Reischauer, Faculty instructor in Far Eastern Languages; Mrs. Elizabeth Schumpeter, world renowned authority on Japanese economics; and William S. Howe '10, former member of the United States consular service in China.
Network officials emphasized the fact that it will be "neither a debate nor a pep talk," but rather a presentation of "plain, sobering facts," many of which are expected to surprise the audience. The forum will conclude with a period open for questions from the floor.
