Instruction In Handling of Small Boats Offered Students

Cooperating with the vocational training program now being conducted throughout the country, the American Nautical Academy has designed a summer course for young men interested in obtaining a knowledge of yachting and the handling of small boats.

Cadets will receive a foundation in nautical science as applied to yachting, a general knowledge of life afloat, and instruction in the use of distress signals, the compass, the duties of lookouts, and related matter. Boys from 10 to 21 are eligible.

Except for meals no charge is made for the courses offered by the Academy, and no obligation for future service is incurred. Provided that the period exceeds one month, cadets may serve as long or as short a time as they choose.
