Captured German war material has been placed in the library of the Union as part of an exhibit which has been obtained through the efforts of Ralph St. L. Peverley, a Yale graduate now residing in Chester, England.
Peverley's collection, which will be on display for about ten days, includes a German parachute, a blood-stained gunner's pad, two land mines, and several bombs, including an incendiary. One of the bombs has a "howler" attachment, which causes the bomb to "scream" when it falls.
Obtained through the permission of the British government and open to all members of the University, the exhibit also includes many British war posters and pictures of life in wartime England.
