College to Wait for Military Plan of Action, Buck Says

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Harvard stands ready to cooperate with any program the Army and the navy may establish under the new draft policy. It does not seem wise, however, to announce plans for next year or to change examination schedules until a definite program, which is expected in the near future, materializes," stated Dean Buck yesterday.

Wednesday's statement from General Hershey's office gave notice of the induction of teen-age draftees within 40 to 60 days. University officials noted that all timing would be dependent on the program expected to result from the current consultations of the Day Committee with military officials in Washington.
