Crimson Hoopsters Seek Second League Win Tonight at Columbia

Having disposed of three games in the toughest part of league competition, two with Dartmouth and one with Cornell, in its only three league contests of the season, Coach Earl Brown and ten of his Varsity hoopsters will entrain today for New York for a game with Columbia scheduled for tonight.

The Crimson's 58 to 36 defeat Saturday at the hands of the bloodthirsty Dartmouth Indians was not unexpected, although the margin of victory was larger than might have been expected.

Coach Ossie Cowle's men, however, were not only full of revenge for their earlier upset, but also were especially "hot" Saturday night as nothing seem to go wrong for them. A few minutes after the start of the game, Captain Bud Finegan of the Crimson was accountable for three personal fouls and thus saw little action for the remainder of the fray.

For the first five minutes, the Crimson kept even with the Green, but from that point on the visitors dropped behind in the scoring, trailing 25 to 10 at the half. Bunks Burditt continued his previous success against the Indians by scoring 11 points and capturing individual scoring honors for the losers.

In tonight's game with Coach Paul Mooney's Columbia five at New York, Harvard should be favored to grab its second league win in four games unless the heavy traveling in the past few days doesn't produce unfavorable results.

Chick Lutz and Bill Webber will start for the Crimson at forward with Bunks Burditt at center, while Don Lutze and Captain Bud Finegan will start at guard, Joe Romano, in spite of about twenty minutes action at Hanover, will probably again see only limited action.

Other Crimson players making the trip are Ed Buckley, George Dillon, Hugh Hyde, and Jack Torgan.
