Freshman Track Team Defeats Exeter as Garland Sets Mark

Rolling up a score of 91 to 84 the Freshmen track team downed Exeter in a dual meet Saturday in which Pete Garland of the Crimson broke the field record in the shotput with a mark of 52 feet, 7 inches.

After the meet Frederick B. Withington '45 of Lihue, Kanai, Hawaii and Matthews Hall was elected captain of the Yardling team.
