Every member of the University's Civilian Defense Program--air raid wardens, auxiliary police, and auxiliary firemen--is being asked to have his picture taken so that civil authorities may identify him during air raids, Dean Henry Chauncey declared yesterday.

To be taken free of charge in Memorial Hall tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, between 3 and 9 o'clock, it will not only be added to a personal description and record of work done here, but may also be used as a certificate to present to officials in other towns if the holder leaves Cambridge.

"It is particularly important that those persons leaving Cambridge at this time have their photographs made," said the statement. "It is expected that all men will consider this an important part of their duties."
