Five Mikkolamen To Contest in BAA

Running against the class of the country's track talent, five of Coach Jaake Mikkola's best available men will compete in the big event of the New England winter track season tomorrow night, the B. A. A. games.

The Crimson quintet, all of whom will be facing some of the nation's top trackmen, includes Captain Don MacKinnon, Wes Flint, Fred Carr, Moe Young and Bill Palson, Bill Bingham Jr., who was scheduled to go in the Hollis 600, is out with a torn muscle.

Strong Competition

MacKinnon, who reached the semifinals in the Millrose meet in New York last week, and Flint are entered in the 40 yard hurdles, and will run against veterans like Fred Walcott. In the 60 yard dash, Carr and Young will meet competition of the brand represented by the great Barney Ewell. In the 1000 yard event, Palson will have old Gene Venzke, veteran of track duals against such immortals as Cunningham and Fenske, as the least of his worries.

This will be the second time this season that Crimson trackmen have competed in indoor events. Their last experience, in Madison Square Garden last week, was not a happy one, but the competition there was just too much for any college squad.
