Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
Following interviews with applicants this week, a student committee will award the Student Council scholarships to apply on the February 10 term bill, it was announced last night by Thomas V. Keene '45, treasurer of the Student Council.
Council scholarships this year will be awarded mainly on the basis of need rather than scholastic excellence, Keene said, and men desiring to apply should secure application blanks from the Phillips Brooks House office and bring these blanks to the interviews. Scholarships this year will amount to about $30 and $40.
Interviews will be held this Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 o'clock and 7 to 9 o'clock in the Student Council room on the second floor of Phillips Brooks and also on Saturday from 2 to 4 o'clock.
Committee to decide on the scholarships includes besides Keene, George M. Burditt '44, Council President; Don Forte '43, and Hugh Calkins '45.
